Main Street Corning
Main Street Corning Overview:
The Main Street program is a volunteer driven program whose mission is to provide a coordinated program to strengthen and promote Corning, Iowa as an attractive, profitable and sociable place to live, shop and do business. Main Street Corning is one of 46 Iowa Main Street communities served by the Main Street Iowa program.
Design: The physical appearance of a business district sets it apart from any other community. Maintaining and improving the appearance of all physical things in the downtown, including buildings, signs, window displays, and public improvements.
Economic Restructuring (Business Improvement): Work to retain existing commercial business in the community; identify current market strengths, weaknesses and opportunities; and address those opportunities through expansion of existing business or recruitment of new businesses to the community.
In an effort to support entreprenuership and sustainable businesses, Adams County became a MyEntreNet Community.
